Welcome to the Astrological Society of Greater Austin

Connecting astrology enthusiasts in Central Texas.

The Astrological Society of Greater Austin - ASGA consists of dedicated astrological-minded peers centered in the Texas Hill Country.

The ASGA is the revival of the previous incarnation of 'astrology Austin' the ASA (2005-2020), which was mothballed after the 'pandemic outbreak'. We hope to raise the bar with a new approach to astrology. We hope you get involved!

.

Prior to 2000, well-known astrologer, Robert Wilkinson held organized astrological meetings in Austin proper during the 80's and 90's.

The seed to create a new astrological community in Austin was planted in 2004 and cultivated during 2005. The Astrological Society of Austin (ASA) was officially chartered in May 2006 by a group of local dedicated astrologers, to promote the study of “the cosmic science” in Central Texas, as an independent Chapter of the NCGR.

The ASA became a separate Texas non-profit organization in 2009, and in Dec 2018, it reorganized as a non-profit association, under The Shift Foundation. In mid-2020, as the global pandemic took the center stage, the ASA was officially dissolved as an association, and its promotional assets were 'mothballed'.

The New Organization

After looking for local astrologers with the capacity & drive to re-initiate a local group, we decided to simply reactivate a new association ourselves, focused solely on the local astrological community, which fits into our Shift Foundation mission. So, with that a few of us agreed to the ASGA

A Bit of History
